Congratulations! This was our first student to earn a book token to the vending machine.
PreK welcomed Wilfred the Weather Walrus and Meteorologist Tim Reith from NTV. They taught the students about weather safety. Then they blew up a balloon and showed them how static electricity is similar to lightning.
Reminder: There will be NO SCHOOL tomorrow 9/17 for Eustis-Farnam Public Schools due to Teacher Inservice and Parent-Teacher Conferences from 2pm-6pm.

Juniors and a couple seniors attended the Lexington College Fair last Friday. This gives students the opportunity to see what colleges, tech schools and military have to offer for their futures.
This afternoon, the Eustis-Farnam Elementary had a ribbon cutting ceremony for our book vending machine. Students may earn tokens to the machine by displaying CHARGE Expectations or through stellar work in the classroom. Please use the link if you would like to watch the ceremony. The Stampede Savings program for K-6 students will start on Thursday, September 18th. It will be on Thursdays moving forward.
PreK students welcomed their first World of Wonder (WOW) visitor, Abby Kugler. She helped them roll out dough and slice it into noodles. Most of the preschoolers love noodles just as much as their letter friend Mr. N!
This afternoon is the ribbon cutting ceremony for the book vending machine. The ceremony will be live streamed at 1:50, if you want to join in the fun! The elementary teachers are so excited to honor students with the gift of books!
A big thank you to Landon at Keller Feedlot for welcoming Mrs. Rexing’s ag math class out today! Students had the opportunity to measure a grain bin and will be using their calculations to estimate how much grain it is holding. We are so grateful for the support of our community in providing these hands-on learning experiences for our students!

The fifth graders are getting paper recycling started around the school as part of their social-emotional learning. This is part of taking action to care for others and the world. They are working together with the National Honor Society students to make this happen!
A big thank you to Waypoint Bank Eustis for welcoming Mrs. Rexing’s Consumer Math class! Students enjoyed a tour of the bank and a great discussion about different account options. The class is currently learning about the benefits of various ways to save and exploring which options might be the best fit for their future.
Mrs. Rexing's ag math class took a trip to AG Valley in Eustis where Steve Schmidt taught students how grain moisture is checked and explained what factors can lower the value of grain brought into the elevator.
Students then headed out to the grain bins east of town and were amazed to see just how large these bins are up close!
